[REC] 4: Apocalypse (2014), directed by Jaume Balagueró, is the thrilling conclusion to the acclaimed [REC] series, which combines survival horror and suspense with a gripping narrative. The story, which continues where it left off [REC] 2, follows Angela Vidal (Manuela Velasco), the intrepid reporter rescued from the infected apartment complex, as she wakes up aboard a quarantined ship.
The ship, an isolated floating laboratory, houses scientists and military personnel investigating the deadly pathogen that caused the outbreak. As the team tries to figure out the origins of the infection, it becomes clear that the parasite is still active and finds new guests among the crew.
